Casarano (LE)
Seminazioni was born in Casarano, in contrada Manfio, out of a group of young Salentino people's decision to stay. The founding statement — "starting from the land to sow relationships and a new ecological mindset" — captures its double soul: cultivating the soil and cultivating community. They grow ancient Salentino grains — Senatore Cappelli, Saragolla, Maiorca, Timilia — hand-harvested with techniques passed down by local elders, then stone-ground at the Community Mill of Castiglione d'Otranto. They manage social gardens using natural methods and produce seasonal preserves and processed foods distributed at the Mercato Biodiverso in Zollino.
Since November 2023, Seminazioni has collaborated with the association "Gli Amici di Nico" to offer agricultural work inclusion pathways for young people with autism: from sowing to harvest through transformation, working the land as a practice of care and meaning.
